(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) A 27-year-old unemployed woman has been sentenced to three months in jail for working as a prostitute.
The Ethiopian had earlier denied the charge in the Court of First Instance. She will be deported after serving her jail term.
She was arrested on April 30 in the Al Muraqqabat area, after which she admitted in the prosecution investigation that she had worked as a prostitute in Dubai for about a year.
She said she used to earn Dh2,000 for every night.
The verdict can be appealed within 15 days.
