Centrica to buy Hess's Energy Marketing for USD 663m


(MENAFN) Centrica will buy the Hess's Energy Marketing for USD 663million. The company said the deal would make it the "leading business-to-business gas supplier in the eastern US", The Telegraph reported. The Energy Marketing unit of Hess had USD8 billion revenues in 2012 and expects to have profits of around USD200 million this year. Centrica chief executive, Sam Laidlaw, said: "This transaction will transform our B2B operations in North America, giving us leading positions in business gas and power supply and creating a unique dual fuel business in the US."
