Sudan gives South Sudan two more weeks before shutting oil pipelines

(MENAFN) At the request of African Union, Sudan has given South Sudan additional two weeks before shutting down the pipelines pumping oil from South Sudan, which Sudan has earlier announced to be shut by Aug 7, reported AlArabiya. Sudan has threatened to shut the pipelines if South Sudan didn't stop supporting anti-Khartoum rebels, which South Sudan denied. The African Union suggested three generals to investigate Sudanese accusations as an attempt to postpone the pipeline blockage.
