EU, China reach settlement for imported solar panels

(MENAFN) Europe has reached an "amicable" settlement with China on Saturday to end the row over the Chinese solar panels dumping European markets at very low prices which threatened the country's business, reported Times of Oman. The EU trade chief agreed over the phone with his Chinese counterpart to set a minimum price of exported Chinese panels to Europe. It's worth mentioning that a suggested plan, which was not approved by the majority of the EU governments, entailed imposing high tariffs on Chinese imports from August 6.
