More foreign investors eye Myanmar for oil and gas exploration


(MENAFN) Myanmar is targeted by an increasing number of foreign investors mainly from the United States, Britain, India and Australia for its offshore oil and gas exploration, reported Xinhua Net. Myanmar has an official estimate of 18.012 trillion cubic feet (TCF) of recoverable reserve out of 89.722 TCF's estimated reserve of offshore and onshore gas, with already three offshore gas projects. It's worth mentioning that the oil and gas industry has comprised 34.14 percent of the country's foreign investment estimated at USD14.372 billion.
