DSCE reviews updates of energy service company


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Dubai Supreme Council of Energy (DSCE) reviews latest updates of 'Energy Service Company' at its 24th regular meeting at its headquarters in Dubai. Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, vice-chairman of the Supreme Council of Energy, has chaired the meeting. The meeting was attended by Ahmed Butti Al Muhairbi, secretary-general of the council, and members, including Abdullah Kalban, CEO of Dubai Aluminium Company (Dubal), Saeed Khoory, CEO of Enoc, Abdullah Abdel Kareem, director-general of the Department of Oil Affairs, Waleed Salman, vice-chairman of the Dubai Nuclear Energy Committee, Jeff Severin, GM of Dubai Petroleum Establishment and representatives from Dusup. The meeting discussed several aspects including energy efficiency and management, and regulations related to the Energy Service Company (Esco). "During the meeting, the council members reviewed the strategy of energy demand management, and decided to set up a specialised committee to supervise the adoption and implementation of projects and initiatives introduced by energy demand management. Headed by Al Muhairbi, the committee comprises representatives of from Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa), the Regulation and Supervision Bureau for Electricity and Water in Dubai, Emirates National Oil Company (Enoc), Road and Transportation Authority (RTA), and Dubai Municipality, in addition to a representative from the Emirates Central Cooling system Corp," said Al Tayer.
