Hyundai's domestic sales fall on weak demand

(MENAFN) Hyundai Motor revealed on Thursday a decline by 5.2 percent in its operating profit for the second quarter due to low demand domestically, reported Xinhua. Although the Korean automaker's sales climbed by 11.4 percent in first six month of this year, its domestics sales declined by 0.8 percent to achieve USD2.15 billion operating profit. The fall in domestic sales followed the free trade signing with Europe and the United States which resulted in lower import tariffs and higher demand for foreign automotives.
