Saudi student stable after Aussie attack


(MENAFN- Arab News) A Saudi scholarship student in Australia, who was attacked by unknown assailants on Sunday in Canberra, has been hospitalized and his condition is stable, said Saudi Ambassador to Australia Nabil bin Muhammed Al-Saleh. The ambassador visited the victim, identified as Turki Al-Shahri, at hospital and asked doctors about his condition. He has instructed hospital authorities to provide him with all necessary medical support. Details of the attack were not available. The Saudi Embassy in Canberra said it would follow the investigation into the incident while urging Australian authorities to speed up efforts to track down and punish the attackers.
