Ford Middle East sales grow by 20 percent


(MENAFN) Ford Middle East announced a 20 percent increase in sales in the first two quarters compared to the same period the year before. The company broke its June sales record with 36 percent increase in sales above last June, reported Saudi Gazette. Sales of SUVs and trucks have gone up 24 percent. The leading SUV model is the Ford Flex with 78 percent increase in sales followed by Ford Edge with 40 percent. In the passenger car category, Ford Taurus sales grew 135 percent and the Mustang went up by 50 percent. Growth in Ford truck sales was the highest as Ford Ranger sales went up by an astonishing 350 percent followed by a 170 percent for the F-150. This growth in sales is cited to increased popularity of Ford vehicles in the Middle East region.
