UAE- 2 accused of kidnapping teenager

(MENAFN- Arab Times) Two students aged 19 and 18, stood in the dock in the Court of First Instance on Sunday charged with kidnapping a teen with the intention to sexually assault him. The two Sudanese, H.I. and H.A., allegedly lured the boy from a club in Al Rafaa where he was playing in a football match and forced him into their car to sexually abuse him. The incident happened on February 7. A supervisor at the club said he knew that the boy was not all right as he looked distracted when playing in a match. "The team administrative officer called to tell me that the boy was too tense and worried to play well." The supervisor was also informed by the coach about two men who were watching the boy from the stadium. The coach said he had never seen them before. "I confronted them and asked them why they were there and H.I. claimed he knew the boy's brother. However, the boy told the supervisor that he did not know the pair and told him that they took him in their car to assault him. The duo, however, denied the boy's story and claimed they just wanted to give him a ride. The administrative officer said he took the boy out of the match as he was distracted and looking around too much. "I talked to him alone and he pointed to the two accused who were standing away from the fan spot, saying they were stalking him." The boy said in the investigation that H.I. whom he had never seen before, approached him around 5.30pm. The two accused then dragged and pushed him inside their car and snatched his phone. He recounted that they took him to near a church under construction where they wanted to sexually assault him. But when they saw workers on the site they drove away. The boy told H.I. to let him go until the match was over and then to pick him up again later.
