Excessive volume of diesel to be shipped to Saudi during summer

(MENAFN) Saudi Arabia will continue to import a huge amount of diesel through the remaining months of summer as a result of increasable demand on fuel to power generators due to rising temperature during summer, Arab news reported. The volume of diesel to be delivered in August will remain less than the amount imported in July by one quarter less. Saudi Aramco stated that continual diesel import could mop up extra supply from India and help keep Asian gasoil margins steady. A Gulf-based source said "People expected volumes to go down a lot in August after Ramadan but temperatures are still very high, so high diesel imports are likely to be sustained." It's worth noting that estimated diesel imports in June reached 8.9 million barrels which near the highest record reported of 8.99 million barrels in July 2011.
