(MENAFN) Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Prime Minister and Vice President of the UAE, sat on Sunday with Maldives President Mohamed Waheed Hassan to talk about developing an international port in the Maldives by port operator DP world, reported Arabian business.
A presidential spokesman said that: "This is the first time talks have been held between the two leaders. In order to make it real, we have to have discussions at a technical level and specify the location of the port,".
On the other hand, DP world didn't make any further statements regarding the potential project adding that: "we don't comment on any specific opportunity unless there is something to announce,".
