'Noor Ala Noor' campaign for special needs children

(MENAFN- Khaleej Times)  More than 400 special needs kids will be celebrating a much warmer and meaningful Ramadan this year, as they benefit from the 'Noor Ala Noor' campaign that will garner contributions from people around the UAE. A joint initiative of Al Qasba and personal development organisation i1Legacy, the "Noor Ala Noor" (Noor of guidance and Noor of Iman (Faith)), the campaign is directed at raising funds for Al Noor Training Centre for Children with Special Needs over three weekends during Ramadan. Sultan Shattaf, Al Qasba Manager, said the campaign will work to help individuals with special needs achieve their highest potential. "Ramadan is a time of virtue, kindness and fellowship to be shared among families and friends and a time when the act of charity takes on a special meaning. Through Al Qasba, we want to give people both the opportunity to enjoy the warmth of Ramadan and the chance to help those less fortunate," he said. "We believe strongly in the importance of organising and hosting fund-raising events to help those in need, especially to celebrate the spirit of generosity and giving in the holy month." School of Fun and Learning, the School of Creativity, and the School of Inspiration, which are managed by the award-winning i1Legacy, will sponsor a range of activities for adults, teenagers and families of all nationalities from 9pm to 12 midnight daily on the weekends of July 11 to 13, July 18 to 20, and July 25 to 27 July. Products created by the children from Al Noor, including book marks, pens tags, iPhone covers and more, will be on sale and the funds raised by the campaign will support Al Noor Centre's works to empower the special needs children.
