Palestinian businessman to launch biggest Arabic online encyclopedia


(MENAFN) Since Arabic is not a popular language on the cyber and only accounts for less than 1% of websites, a Palestinian businessman decided to initiate a USD10 million website that will be an encyclopedia with one million entry, Arabian business published. Talal Abu Ghazaleh, owner of the education and professional services firm Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org), eyes the end of 2013 to launch Tagipedia that will be free to access for all internet users across the globe. In an interview by Reuters Abu Ghazaleh said:" I see it as a means of building an Arab knowledge society, which is my mission in life ... to contribute to the economic and social development of the Arab world." The72 years old businessman added: "For a language with a great heritage and culture, that is very modest," asserting that the content won't be randomly added by anyone unless it is verified and shouldn't be insulting or racist.
