Emaar starts Makkah project handover

(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Emaar Middle East, a business subsidiary of global property developer Emaar Properties, has commenced the handover of Saudi Arabia's first five-star serviced apartments in Emaar Residences at Makkah Clock Tower. Located directly on the Haram Plaza, the apartments offer breathtaking views of the Holy Kaaba, Haram and the Holy City of Makkah. The luxurious residences are located on levels 30 to 41 of the iconic Makkah Clock Tower, a Fairmont Hotel, which is a focal point of the Abraj Al Bait complex and part of the King AbdulAziz Endowment of the Two Holy Mosques. One of the world's tallest hotel towers, the 601-metre high structure is also distinguished by a majestic landmark, the 40-metre clock, visible from 17km, announcing daily prayers, and a Lunar Observation Centre and Islamic Museum that aims to preserve the Muslim heritage for future generations. "These five-star serviced apartments - a first of its kind in the kingdom - are designed to provide an inspiring experience for residents, who visit or stay in the Holy City of Makkah," said Ahmad Al Matrooshi, managing director of Emaar Properties. With handover commencing, visitors to Makkah can also rent serviced apartments through Fairmont Hotels & Resorts. A limited number of serviced apartments in Emaar Residences at Makkah Clock Tower are available for sale for potential investors. These apartments are being sold for a 23-year leasehold ownership with the additional opportunity for customers to enter them on a rental pool to be managed by Fairmont.
