China's retail market volume doubles within 4 years


(MENAFN) China has become the world's second largest retail market as its retail market volume witnessed a huge leap from USD1.77 trillion to USD3.44 trillion within 4 years, Xinhua News reported. China's plans of economic growth which focus on the consumption sector rather than on investments are of in the nation's favor; improving the quality of its economic growth. Moreover, the retail sector helped reduce unemployment by 33% providing 60 million jobs in 2012 compared to 45 million jobs in 2008.
