UAE- Adec orders closure of 15 villa schools


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) As many as 15 schools housed in villas in Abu Dhabi will be closed by the end of the next academic year (2013-2014). Of these, three will continue to have classes after relocating to school buildings designed especially for education purposes from the next academic year, because they comply with the standards of quality and safety approved by the Abu Dhabi Education Council (Adec), it announced on Tuesday. Seven schools will be shut down by the end of the present academic year (2012-2013), while two schools that follow the Indian curriculum will close down in March 2014, by the end of the Indian academic year, the council said. Three other villa-housed schools will be closed by the end of the next year.
