UAE- Trade fair to present India of 21st century


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Dubai will host Indian Trade Fair 2013 and more than 200 exhibitors are expected to take part in the exclusive show for Indian companies, according to its organiser. Muscat-based Silver Star Corporation, which is having a reputation of organising more than 30 international, domestic and solo exhibitions, will organise the event. Scheduled from September 3-5, 2013 the event will be held at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. "The company is looking forward in making Indian Trade Fair Dubai 2013 (ITF Dubai 2013) yet another success story," P.D. Nath, managing director of Silver Star Corporation, told reporters at a news conference held on Monday evening in Dubai. The news conference was also addressed by Indian Ambassador to the UAE M.K. Lokesh and Indian Business and Professional Council president Paras Shahdadpuri. Nath said that they are expecting more than two hundred exhibitors to participate in ITF Dubai 2013 which will make the annals of exhibitions in UAE and India. Talking about its objective, he said it's to project India of 21st century capable of supplying quality machinery, products, services and technology of international standard at competitive prices and thus to further enhance the existing India-UAE bilateral relationship. He said the fair offers a perfect gateway to reach these highly potential markets of UAE, GCC and Africa and holds tremendous prospects of excellent business opportunities, new collaborations and strategic tie-ups. It will provide an excellent platform to the Indian business houses including SMEs to introduce and launch their quality products and services not only in the growing markets of UAE and also in the whole of Middle East and Africa, he added. Lokesh said: "We are largest trading partners, so it's important to have Indian exhibition." Non-oil trade between India and the UAE was around $75 billion in the fiscal year ending March 30, 2013 and New Delhi wants to increase its total trade by 20 per cent, Lokesh told Khaleej Times. Dubai hosts a lot of exhibitions including industry specific and Indian companies always participate in big way, he said, adding that its India's own event that's the reason Embassy is supporting the show. Shahdadpuri said: "We always welcome and support these initiatives that's the reason I am here." He said the show would be an opportunity for Indian companies to showcase the vast capability of Indian industry and services. Nath said that various export promotion councils are supporting the exhibition. In addition to that Jet Airways will be official airline for the event and it will offer 10 per cent discount on fare to exhibitors and visitors from India. "Our official restaurant is Options by Sanjeev Kapoor and it's organising an Indian food festival at their restaurant on all three days of the exhibition," he added.
