(MENAFN- Arab Times) An Asian expatriate was arrested in Salmiya for drunken driving and in possession of 962 bottles of locally brewed liquor. According to security sources, Hawally securitymen were patrolling Salmiya area when they noticed an Asian expatriate driving his vehicle in an unsteady manner and stopped him for checking. Sensing his disoriented state, they checked his vehicle and found a number of bags containing bottles of locally brewed liquor. During interrogations, he revealed that he had another vehicle that contained liquor bottles. Securitymen rushed to the location where the vehicle was parked and found more bags inside the vehicle that contained bottles of locally brewed liquor. The suspect was arrested and referred with the confiscated 127 bags of 962 liquor bottles to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against him.
