UAE- Woman accused of offering cop sex

(MENAFN- Khaleej Times)  A 20-year-old woman, who allegedly made prostitution her means of living, stood trial in the Court of First Instance. The Ukrainian woman, on a visit visa, was arrested on June 7, 2012, after a police officer spotted her roaming outside a hotel in Al Rafaa area. "I saw her around 10am and got suspicions because of what she was wearing and the way she was talking to passers-by," said a police lieutenant. He sent an officer to talk to her. "It turned out that she worked as a prostitute. She offered the officer to have sex with her for money". The police asked her for an ID card but she failed to produce one. "A woman officer found a Turkish passport with her. Her photo was on it." The police also found condoms with her. The defendant was taken into police custody. She underwent the iris scan test and it became clear she had been previously deported. She admitted that the passport she carried was forged and a criminal report was filed against her. The accused admitted in the investigation that she worked as a prostitute and that she breached an entry ban. A verdict is expected soon.
