(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) The International Affairs Department at the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, or TRA, represented the UAE at the International Telecommunication Union, or ITU, Council for this year.
The council took place recently at the ITU headquarters in Geneva and was headed by Romania this year. The conference covered numerous crucial issues, including the ITU's budget for the next two years, strategic and financial plans for the union and its three sectors, issues related to e-security, climate change, e-health and accessibility of ICT technologies for the disabled, among many others.
