UAE- Jealous friend arrested for hacking email account


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times)  The Dubai Police have arrested a woman and her friend for hacking into the email account of another friend and striking up talks with her fiancé. The two suspects started to chat with the man after they hacked into the account of the prime suspect's friend. Director of Bur Dubai Police Station Colonel Ali Ghanim said that due to her actions, the man broke up with his fiancé. He said an Arab woman lodged a complaint claiming that her email account was hacked by someone who began sending messages to a number of people in her contact list asking that they send her money and expensive gifts. Hwer fiancé ended their relationship because he did not believe her account was hacked and thought that she was demanding the money and gifts. The police then set a trap after the woman asked for a large sum of money from the fiancé who agreed to meet the woman suspect, however the prime suspect sent her friend to receive the money. She was arrested when the money was handed to her. She later guided the police to the woman suspect. When the police confronted her she confessed that she committed the crime as an act of revenge when she discovered that her ex-fiancé became engaged to the victim.
