Google gets enforcement notice to delete UK's wireless data

(MENAFN) Google gets enforcement notice by the UK's data protection watchdog to delete wireless-network data collected by its cars for its Street View service inside the country, reported Times of Oman. Regulators say that if Google refuses to delete the data after 35 days, it will face a criminal offence. Head of enforcement at the Information Commissioner's Office mentioned that Google technology should be seen as an example of what can go wrong if technology companies fail to understand how their products are using personal information.
