UAE- Lost bag returned to lucky passenger

(MENAFN- Khaleej Times)  A Singaporean man who left a bag of jewels and money on his aeroplane seat had a lucky turn of events when it was returned to him. The General Department of Airport Security returned the bag, discovered at the Dubai International Airport, after the man who arrived in Dubai as a transit passenger, forgot it on the plane, with various currencies and jewels amongst its contents. Hamad bin Diylan from the department explained that in May this year, airline officials handed over a bag to them. The official told the police that the passenger, who was coming from Singapore, forgot his bag which was found on his plane seat after he landed in Dubai. Bin Diylan said that when the police opened the bag they found $863, 700 Singapore dollars, 620 Hong Kong dollars, in addition to jewels. He said the police contacted the concerned airline and managed to get the email address and phone number of the passenger. When the police called the phone it was switched off, so the police sent him an email, despite not receiving any missing reports. He said that the passenger answered the email and he could not believe that his bag was found, saying he had only realised he had lost it when he reached his destination. He told the police that he would stop in Dubai on his way back to Singapore to receive his bag. Bin Diylan said that the Dubai Police kept the bag and prepared a report on the lost item, before passenger managed to collect it at the airport a few days later. He gave the police details of the bag and its contents, which matched the one found by the police.
