New system from Dubai Land Dept

(MENAFN- Khaleej Times)  The Government of Dubai's Land Department, or LD, on Saturday announced the launch of a new licencing system for online transactions that will save time of all stakeholders and ease transaction processing. The new e-system called "Tarakhisi" - which translates to "my licences" - allows all real estate brokers and entities operating in the emirate to complete their transactions online through the LD's Web site, and without the need for any physical presence at the department. "The new e-service allows for online licence management for all real estate licencing departments, including licencing, real estate brokers or inspection sections. This service provided by the LD aims to facilitate procedures for brokers and reduce audit time. This follows a commitment to support the concept of a smart government, which is characterised by high efficiency in the delivery of electronic services," said Yousuf Alsayed Alhashimi , senior director of the Real Estate Licencing Department at the Real Estate Regulatory Agency, the regulatory arm of the LD. "We have now stopped receiving real estate brokers' transactions through the customer service centre, and all 1,484 brokerage offices, along with 5,568 brokers, have to login to the LD Web site and sign in for the Tarakhisi service. They will be given a password to access the system to be able to complete their transactions online. As for the ones who have a username and password for Simsari or Tarakhisi, they can access the system directly." He pointed out that the new system provides brokers with all services found at the customer service centre. Alhashimi also noted that the previous phase saw the completion of the inspection system, with the broker's registration system now in place with the next phase seeing the completion and development of the new programme for real estate licences.
