(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Â Two men, who worked at a shopping store in Jumeirah, were each sentenced to six months in jail for stealing Dh1,600 from the charity box kept at the store.
The Court of First Instance also ordered the security guard, 28, and the cleaner, 25, both Nepali, be deported after their term.
A police lieutenant said the two accused were referred to the police station after they were spotted stealing from the donation box on surveillance cameras.
The incident was reported around 10.45pm on April 2.
The police arrested the accused and found part of the stolen money (Dh610) with them. They admitted to stealing the money. The verdict can be appealed within 15 days.
