Dubai's Eagle Proprietary Investments purchases Sri Lankan Heraymila firms


(MENAFN) Dubai-based Eagle Proprietary Investments Cheif Executive Officer, Raj Dvivedi, stated that the company signed a deal by which it acquired two Sri Lankan firms Heraymila Securities Limited and Heraymila Capital (Pvt) Limited, reported Emirates 24/7. The CEO also said that Heraymila Securities was a stock brokerage firm while Heraymila Capital was an asset management firm. They will be rebranded as Candor Equities Limited and Candor Asset Management (Private) Limited. Dvivedi added that as part of the deal, Eagle Proprietary Investments acquired four licenses to operate in Sri Lanka, including equity capital market brokerage, asset management, financial advisory, and outsourcing. It is worth noting that Eagle Proprietary Investments is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Kuwait's National Industries Group (NIG). It was founded in 2008 and has invested in companies in China and USA. The Heraymila deal is its first investment in South Asia.
