US AECOM bags USD148m Doha Expressway contract


(MENAFN) AECOM Technology Corporation's chairman and Cheif Executive Officer, John M Dionisio, stated that AECOM won a USD148 million contract to provide construction-supervision and design-review services for a part of the Doha Expressway program for three years, reported Arabian Business. Dionisio also said that the portion of the Doha Expressway which the company will work on is known in Qatar as Group 7. He explained that the company will work on a 105-mile expressway which will facilitate sea freights' moving in and out of the New Port Project in Doha. Moreover, it will help make the movement of trucks and delivery vehicles around the Qatari capital more efficient. The chairman added that the project will also require around 21 main free-flow junctions plus a number of priority-controlled junctions and private accesses.
