(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Â In two separate traffic accidents on Sunday, one Asian was killed, while another seriously injured when he was run-over by a vehicle. According to Major-General Mohammed Saif Al Zafin, Director of the General Department of Traffic of the Dubai Police, the first accident took place at 11am in the Um Al Rumool area, when a car driven by an Arab hit an Asian motorcyclist, killing the latter on the spot.
The car hit the motorcycle when the former tried to reverse the car and entered the road suddenly, hitting the motorcyclist with a great impact.
Meanwhile, the second accident took place on Shaikh Zayed Road at 4am, in the direction of Abu Dhabi, when a vehicle driven by an Asian driver ran over a worker, who sustained serious injuries. The latter was rushed by the Dubai Police Air Wing to a nearby hospital and is in a critical condition.
