Kuwait- Police arrest residence law violators, raid Jahra markets


(MENAFN- Arab Times)  Jahra securitymen arrested eight violators of residency law, closed down three groceries and issued 40 citations against various traffic violations during a security campaign in Al-Mutla area yesterday. They also raided markets in Jahra and arrested 14 individuals who were driving recklessly. They seized four vehicles using which the motorists were performing stunts. The arrested individuals were referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against them. Officer insulted: A traffic police officer has filed a case against an unidentified motorist accusing the latter of insulting him, reports Al-Rai daily. This happened when the officer was writing a citation for a vehicle which was parked in the 'No Parking' zone. The motorist reportedly got angry and insulted the officer. A complaint has been filed with the Salmiya Police Station. The motorist has been summoned for interrogation.
