Copper climbs on growth optimism


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Copper rose in New York, narrowing a fifth weekly drop, before a report on US industrial production projected to add to signs of an economic revival in the world's second-biggest consumer of the metal. Copper for delivery in July added 0.3 per cent to $3.1945 a pound by 7:55am on the Comex in New York, cutting the weekly slide to 2.3 per cent. Copper for delivery in three months rose 0.4 per cent to $7,078 a metric on the London Metal Exchange.
