(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) The European Union announced here today to raise the ceiling of the annual support to Yemen to euros 10 millions and to provide a financial support of US 18 millions for the activities of Yemen's electoral committee and the conference of the national dialogue and the political process in the country.
Talks of the Yemeni-European joint committee, which began today in Sana'a, were co-chaired by the Minister of Planning ,Mohammed al-Sa'adi and chairman of the European Union Mission, Hugues Mingarelli , with the participation of representatives of European donor States and international organizations.
Mingarelli affirmed keenness of the EU to continue providing the necessary support to Yemen in order to strengthening development and stability processes and backing of the political process,noting that Yemen fulfilled its commitments relating to implementation of a package of reforms agreed upon in donors' conference in Riyadh .
For his part, the Yemeni Minister reviewed the roadmap of the economic challenges which had been facing the coalition government aiming to overcome the repercussions of the political process that crippled progress in Yemen since 2011. Â
