Iran plans 4 industrial estates


(MENAFN) Iranian Organization of Industrial Estates's director, Fakhrollah Molaee, announced that in a move that will help the country endure the Western sanctions and boost the non-oil sector, Iran plans to develop 4 joint industrial parks on its borders with Turkey, Iraq, Turkmenistan and Afghanistan, reported Tehran Times. Molaee said that at the current time, the industrial estate between Iran and Turkey in being set up, whereas discussions are on the move to establish the other 3. On the other hand, by the end of the fifth 5- Year Development Plan, Iran's trade revenue is forecasted to reach USD160 billion on annual basis. It is worth noting that last year; Iran's non-oil trade balance fell to USD17.9 billion, compared with USD30.5 billion a year earlier.
