Brazil's Randon seeks to extend business in ME


(MENAFN) Randon,a Brazilian manufacturer of vehicles and auto parts, is eyeing partners in Saudi Arabia and Iraq to expand its business in the Middle East, Arabian Business reported. Erino Tonon, operations vice-president said the conglomerate is seeking a partner with a renowned company with knowledge in the area of transport implements, or one that is interested in learning. Tonon added Randon would participate with the technology and components for assembly of the equipment in any new venture. He also said that the Randon would favor Saudi Arabia, due to its population and market size, or Iraq, once stabilized. Randon has already outsourced production of some products in Egypt and Algeria. The company operates through its subsidiaries in three segments, commercial trailers, rail cars and special vehicles, auto parts and automotive systems and services.
