Iraq scores 10 medals in Turkey's International for Disabled Tennis Championship


(MENAFN- Aswat Al-Iraq) Iraq has scored 10 medals, including 3 gold medals, in Turkey's International Tennis Championship for the Disabled, among them, 3 gold medals, 3 silver and 4 bronze, the Chairman of the Iraqi Tennis Federation for the Disabled said on Wedenesday. "The Young Player, Hussein Hamid, had scored the gold medal for the Youth Individuals, after beating his Turkish competitor by two groups â€" 6-0 for each group, whilst he scored a silver medal in the 2nd round of the competitions," Karim Abdul-Hussein told Aswat al-Iraq news agency. Abdul-Hussein said that the female Player, Zainab Kadhim, had "scored 2 silver medals, within the individual and double-sex women group, but lost the final individual, for two groups vis-à-vis a single group. "Player Arif Abboud had scored a gold medal in the competitions, whilst his colleague, Hussein Hamid, scored a silver medal and Hussein Khalil, Nassir Mahdi and Iyad Hadi Mahdi, scored bronze metals," he concluded.
