(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Qatar Charity will implement projects worth of QR11m in Gaza toward reconstruction of several educational institutions damaged in the Israeli attacks, Qatar News Agency (QNA) has reported. Qatar Charity has signed contracts with the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) headquartered in Jeddah last month to repair 18 school buildings and refurbish the science and engineering laboratories at the Palestine University in Gaza. The agreements also seek to set up three teachers' training centres in the war-torn city and renovate a building of the National Training Center of the Ministry of Education. Israel opened the attack with a surprise air strike against the Gaza Strip on December 27, 2008 killing between 1,166 and 1,417 Palestinians.
