Lebanese industrial exports increase 35% by Oct 2010


(MENAFN) Khaled Farshoukh, chief of the development council of industrial quality standards said that industrial exports in Lebanon for the first time reached the amount of $377 million by October 2010, reported the Daily Star. The Lebanese industry ministry also announces that industrial export witnessed an increase of 35.4 percent compared with 2009. The ministry added that this was an indication of enhancements on the capacity of Lebanese industries and their complinace with international standards. Farshoukh said that equipments exports amounted to $628 million which is 21.3 percent of total exports. In second came pearls, precious and semi-precious stones as well as precious metals with total exports amounting to $563 million.
