Morocco- Hassan Moumen appointed new national team coach

(MENAFN- Morocco Business News) Hassan Moumen, Fath Rabat's coach, has been appointed as a coach for the national team for a period of three months. Moumen, who will be assisted by thee other coaches (Houcine Ammouta, Abdelghani Bennaciri and Jamal Sellami), will take charge of the Atlas Lions in the remaining three Group A qualifying matches for the 2010 World Cup and Africa Cup of Nations. This nomination comes after former coach French Roger Lemerre was sacked following the shabby performance of the country's national team. These results compromised Morocco's chances to make it to the most prestigious football tournament, the World Cup, which will be organised next year in South Africa.
