UNRWA will not reduce services for Palestinian refugees in Jordan

(MENAFN- Jordan Times) UNRWA does not plan to reduce services offered to Palestinian refugees in Jordan in spite of difficult conditions the agency is going through, Director of UNRWA's Operations in Jordan Richard Cook said on Tuesday. During a meeting with civil society representatives and residents of Madaba refugee camp, he said the global financial crisis will negatively reflect on Palestinian refugees in Jordan, expressing hope that the impact will be minimal. He added that UNRWA is working with donor countries to double their donations to help the agency overcome the financial deficit it is currently facing.
